Solskjaer: Referees’ job is tough, we wish them to make as many correct decisions as possible

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Manchester United head coach has talked about the job that football referees do.

Head referee Stuart Attwell decided not to award a penalty against the Londoners after the ball hit the hand of midfielder Callum Hudson-Odoi, in the first half of the 26th round of the EPL match against Chelsea (0-0).

“You know, the way things work in football is that you just move on to the next match. Situations like that carry a lot of pressure and we just have to accept the referees’ decisions,” the coach told Sky Sports.

“We move on. After the match, I was completely focused on the Crystal Palace game, so I didn’t look back at that situation at all.”

“I think the job of referees is very tough even without additional pressure. We can only wish them to make as many good and correct decisions as possible.”
