Ronald Koeman, Barcelona head coach has shared his impression on Barsagate and the situation with former club president Josep Bartomeu, who was recently released on bail after a night at the police station.
“It’s bad for the image of the club. We will have to wait and see what happens. I wasn’t at the club at the time. There’s nothing we can do about it, we just need to concentrate on football,” Koeman said at the press conference.
“When I found out [about Bartomeu’s detention], I was shocked. I know him and Oscar Grau, who has also been detained.”
“I feel sorry for them because we had important moments in common. For me, Bartomeu has always been exceptional.”
Koeman was appointed Barcelona coach under Bartomeu’s management.
