FareShare was helped by Manchester United star Marcus Rashford to achieve its target of providing three million meals by the end of June to vulnerable citizens in the UK.
On Thursday, Rashford said on his official Twitter page: “Guys, I have great news!! We had a plan that FareShare would deliver 3 million meals to poor citizens around the UK by the end of June.”
“We reached the financial goal of providing those meals TODAY. Thanks SO much for the support.”
“And while I’m celebrating this, there’s so much more to do. Trust me when I say, I’ll keep fighting until there’s no kid in the UK worried about where their next meal comes from.”
