Premier League – Arsenal vs Tottenham prediction, team news, lineup

Arsenal will host Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday at the Emirates Stadium and will look to make it three wins in a row in the Premier League. Here is our expert guess on Arsenal vs Tottenham football prediction, team news, and lineup for the Premier League match of the season.

Team news

Arsenal

Granit Xhaka was on suspension but has returned now and could partner Thomas Partey in midfield.

Nicolas Pepe is likely to be on bench and might allow Emile Smith Rowe to take his place on the front line.

Kierney is a doubt for the home team, but he is expected to recover in time for the derby on Sunday.

Tottenham

Nuno Espirito Santo is concerned about the fitness of Lucas Moura, Ryan Sessegnon, and Steven Bergwijn for the trip to Arsenal.

Last week in a match against Chelsea, Oliver Skipp came off the bench, and here he is  set to make his comeback at the expense of Tanguy Ndombele.

With Harry Kane leading the charge after a more reserved performance against Chelsea, Santo may revert to a 4-3-3 formation.

Arsenal vs Tottenham Prediction

With a 1-0 victory over Burnley at Turf Moor, Arsenal made it two league wins in a row as they continue to improve after a slow start to the season.

For the second time straight Tottenham lost 3-0 in the league with a second-half collapse to Chelsea putting a damper on what had been a promising start to the season.

Since 2010 the Gunners haven’t lost any home match against Tottenham and given the two teams’ current form, that streak looks set to continue on Sunday.

Mikel Arteta also saw his side advance to the fourth round of the EFL Cup with a 3-0 win over AFC Wimbledon on Wednesday night, with Alexandre Lacazette, Emile Smith Rowe, and Eddie Nketiah scoring.

Lineup

Arsenal possible starting lineup: Ramsdale; Tomiyasu, Gabriel, White, Tierney; Odegaard, Lokonga, Smith Rowe; Aubameyang, Lacazette, Saka

Tottenham possible starting lineup: Lloris; Reguilon, Dier, Romero, Emerson; Dele Alli, Ndombele, Hojbjerg; Son, Kane, Lo Celso

Our Prediction: Arsenal 2 – 1 Tottenham
