Inter has revealed its ‘postmodern’ home kit, for the 2020-21 season, which features a zigzag design.
The shirt ‘captures the best of Milanese culture, values, and style by radically interpreting the traditional colors of the club,’ defines a note on the official website of Inter.
“Inspired by the pioneering work of Milanese designers in the 1980s, Inter’s new home kit celebrates the city through a striking aesthetic which symbolizes the shared identity of the club and the people it represents.”
Scott Munson, vice president of Nike Football Apparel, added: “We are continuing our quest to challenge the traditional striped identity of the club, this time drawing inspiration from one of Milan’s most important movements in design.”
“The zig-zag graphic is a staple of post-modernist design and is also reminiscent of the slithering Biscione. The result is a radically unexpected home kit.”
The greatest change is the inclusion of zigzags on a Nerazzurri home jersey for the first time, while the conventional black-and-blue stripes are introduced.
The kit has a black crew-neck collar, black shorts, and blue socks to top it off.
