When Inter meets Hellas Verona on Thursday, Antonio Conte called on his players to actively channel their “bitterness and disappointment”.
Following Sunday’s resumption of the season when they conceded two late goals to be defeated by Bologna 2-1, the Nerazzurri endured their first defeat in Serie A.
Inter will reduce the difference to eight with seven points to play and Conte wants a response.
“We’re leaving the loss behind us against Bologna and getting ready for the game against Verona,” he told Inter TV.
“In moments like this, the fact that our next game is too soon is really a good one, as we can definitely still feel a bit of bitterness and disappointment, but at the same time you need to concentrate on the next game, which is a huge fixture against a really powerful side in Hellas Verona in this situation.”
