Watford confirmed three COVID-19 positive cases

Over the past two days three people at the club have reported positive for coronavirus, confirmed Watford.

A total of 748 tests were conducted on Sunday and Monday, the Premier League proclaimed the result on Tuesday stating that six positive Covid-19 cases have been reported.

Later that night, Watford declared that one player and two staff members will continue self-isolation who had tested positive.

“The Watford Football Club announces that three individuals have been testing positively for the Covid-19 virus during the past 48 hours after checking at the training ground,” the club said in a statement.

“Of these three positive tests, one is a player and two are staff members. All three have requested that medical confidentiality be respected and so the club will not name those involved.”

“All three will self-isolate for seven days-in keeping with the procedures set out in the rules of the Premier League before being re-tested at a later date.”
