In the round of 16 of the English Carabao Cup, four matches were played and three matches ended in convincing victories.
Manchester City easily defeated Burnley away 3: 0. Two goals were scored by Raheem Sterling, and the pass was confirmed by Ferran Torres in the 65th minute of the match.
Manchester United celebrated the same result away to Brighton. In the Premier League the same clubs played last weekend at the same stadium, United were worse then but in the last second managed to pull the win out of Bruno Fernandes’ goal from the penalty spot. Now there were no problems, United celebrated 3-0, and goals were scored by McTominay, Mata, and Pogba.
Everton continued with impressive performances earlier this season. This time beating West Ham 4-1 it also reached sixth consecutive victory.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin was brilliant again. In the last four games, the 23-year-old English striker scored his second hat-trick. He has already scored three pieces for Bilic’s West Bromwich Albion. He is currently on the effect of eight goals in five games played.
Only he didn’t shake the net to Fleetwood in the last round of the Carabao Cup.
Knocking out Newport’s four-league team only after a penalty Newcastle struggled the most. The regular part of the match ended 1: 1.
