Rangers Football Club has made it to the quarter-finals of the Europa League after beating Red Star Belgrade 4-2 on aggregate.
The Scottish champions have lost this leg but progress based on their outstanding performance in Glasgow.
Red Star briefly looked like overturning Rangers’ lead, but some heroics from McGregor and Kent’s second-half goal effectively ended the contest.
Ben’s late penalty broke Rangers’ resistance, but it came far too late for the hosts to salvage the tie.

RED STAR BELGRADE 1-1 RANGERS (1-4 ON AGGREGATE)! Kent plays a one-two with Kamara to burst down the left. The winger decides to go it alone and slots past Borjan into the far bottom corner via a deflection! Finally, rangers have the goal they need.
RED STAR BELGRADE 2-1 RANGERS (2-4 ON AGGREGATE!) Ben steps up and slots the penalty into the bottom left corner of the net, finally beating McGregor. However, It feels like a consolation for Red Star at this stage.
So, what’s next?
Rangers make it to their first Europa League quarter-final since 2007-08. They will find out who they’ll face later this week. Can they emulate their famous run of 14 years ago? Only time will tell.
