Pep Guardiola suggests Chelsea that Graham Potter is best for them

Pep Guardiola suggests Chelsea that Graham Potter is best for them. Pep Guardiola, manager of Manchester City, has pushed Chelsea to continue with Graham Potter. The Blues’ manager is under fire following a slump in the team’s performance that saw them exit the FA Cup and Carabao Cup while occupying the 10th spot in the Premier League standings.

After the Chelsea owners decided it was time for a change, Potter was hired in September. Only a few days after the transfer window, during which they spent almost £200 million, closed, they fired Thomas Tuchel. Speaking to the media after his team’s FA Cup third-round victory over Chelsea, Guardiola pleaded with Todd Boehly and company to support Potter. The management, in his opinion, requires more time.

I’d like to tell Todd Boehly that it was nice meeting him; please give him some time. Results certainly matter in the top clubs, but I would still urge you to give him some time. So I believe he is what he is in the second half. His work in Brighton was exceptional. He is correct that all managers require time. At all times, we require time.

“Because I had Messi in Barcelona, there was a reason I only needed one season there. For Graham, Chelsea, or any team, playing against City at this level in the Carabao Cup or here is not a simple task.” Graham Potter on picking Chelsea and the necessity of waiting. Graham Potter has acknowledged that he does not want Chelsea to be in this predicament, but he thinks the team needs this time to regroup and return to their best.

He informed the reporters earlier this week that he believes the board and owners will support him. “I accepted the position because it offers the opportunity to mold a club that is going through a significant era of change. It’s not like I jumped at the chance to leave Brighton the moment it presented itself. Because of the proprietors and the support they would provide, this one felt perfect. They have excelled in every way.”

After observing 10 players on the hospital table, Potter said that he was in a difficult situation. “In this location for four months. When you consider the difficulties we’ve faced, it’s okay if others criticize me during that time. I can provide you with a counterargument based on my professional background and the players who would value my skill.” This week’s Premier League schedule includes two London derbies for Chelsea against Fulham and Crystal Palace.
