Olivier Giroud who is Lazio and Inter transfer candidate has reportedly prolonged his Chelsea contract till June 2021. ‘I am very happy to continue my trip with Chelsea.’
In January the striker was on the brink of shifting to Inter, but he was dropped because other deals didn’t go well. He was going to be a free agent this summer.
In San Siro Antonio Conte had been wishing for a get-together next season, though Lazio was also supposed to play for the 33-year-old.
Last evening Chelsea announced that they had taken the opportunity to stretch the deal for another year.
“I am delighted to continue my journey and adventure at Chelsea. I can’t wait to get back to playing and enjoying competitive football with my team-mates,” he told the official club website.
“I’m looking forward to wearing the Chelsea shirt again, especially in front of our fans at a full Stamford Bridge, whenever it is safe to do so.”
