Tottenham forward Son Heung-min is expected to be out with a hamstring injury for some time, according to Jose Mourinho.
The South Korea international was replaced at half-time of Sunday’s 1-1 Premier League draw with Newcastle United at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Son’s injury was not insignificant said head coach Mourinho, who walked down the tunnel after Wilson scored from the place.
“It’s an injury. We’ll have him out for a while. It’s his hamstring,” Mourinho said after the game.
“Tottenham is a major club. Our history is not as big as other clubs in terms of titles and I know I’m coaching with a lot of pride and affection.”
“I love the club and I love being here. I don’t see myself going to another club and leaving because I love it too much, but now I know the distinction between clubs with a great history and not.”
