Apparently, the imminent Barcelona contract for Ajax full-back Sergino Dest will be their last signing of the summer transfer window.
The Spanish giants are considered to be on the verge of closing a deal for Dest with a move worth an estimated £ 23 million.
Since taking over as manager, the 19-year-old will become Ronald Koeman’s first big signing, but Goal claims that due to the financial difficulties of the club, it could also be the last of the summer.
However, Koeman would have to collect all potential funds from player sales, and even then, just 25 percent of the money brought in will be made available for new players due to the workforce limitations imposed by La Liga to handle the financial effects of coronavirus.
Barcelona has already transferred a large amount from their wage bill by unloading Luis Suarez, Arturo Vidal, Ivan Rakitic, and Nelson Semedo, although exits have also been related to Samuel Umtiti, Jean-Clair Todibo, and Martin Braithwaite.
