PSG kicked out of Champions League as Man City fires to finals

Manchester City made it to the final of the Champions League football tournament for the first time by defeating last year’s runners-up Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) 2–0 in the semi-final second leg thanks to two goals from Riyadh Mahrez. Under the coaching of Pep Guardiola, Manchester City made it to the UEFA Champions League finals for the first time. City now awaits for Real Madrid or Chelsea to play against in Istanbul as both the teams are yet to play their semi-finals return leg.

Mahrez fires Manchester City one step closer to its ultimate purpose, scoring twice in 11th and 63rd minutes. PSG star player Angel Maria was shown a red card in the 69th minute, forcing the team to play with the remaining 10 players.

Pep Guardiola had experienced Champions League finals last in 2011 when he managed Barcelona. Then Barca defeated Manchester United with a 3-1 win. The Spanish coach is all prepped to push his team to grab the trophy for another time after 10 years. Manchester City marked its throne in the finals knocking PSG out of the Champions League.

The final of the Champions League to be held in Istanbul on 29 May is likely to be between the two England teams. For this, Chelsea will have to beat Real Madrid on Wednesday. The first leg match between the two teams was at 1–1.
