Manchester United push for a 3-0 win against Brighton

As Manchester United resumed their push for a top-four finish at Brighton with a comfortable 3-0 win, Bruno Fernandes becomes a star.

The Red Devils have also appeared on track to make it 15 games unbeaten in all competitions, as a marvelous individual shot from Mason Greenwood and a deflected attempt from Fernandes put visitors firmly in charge in the first half.

The Portuguese midfielder applied his second of the match, following a ruthlessly smooth counter-assault, only after the interval as he volleyed home.

Brighton put up a little bit more of a struggle, as the game was on, but Leandro Trossard’s substitute saw two low attempts travel just high.

With season’s fifth league success Ole Gunnar Solskjaer squad moves up to the fifth position, just three points behind third-placed Leicester, although they’ve played one more game. Brighton remains six points clear of 15th-place relegation places.

Next up on Saturday, United host Bournemouth, while Graham Potter’s Seagulls are holding out hope to take a major step towards securing survival at rock-bottom Norwich.
