Manchester City celebrates Premier League title win

Manchester City won the English Premier League (EPL) title following Leicester City’s 2-1 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford on Tuesday. Under the guidance of manager Pep Guardiola, City won the title for the third time in a row. After this defeat, United were reduced to 70 points in 35 matches in the points table with 10 points less than the city at the top, and City have to play three more matches this season. Leicester has scored 66 points playing 36 matches and is in third place.

Pep Guardiola’s City, who missed their chance to win the title when they were beaten 2–1 by Chelsea on Saturday, now celebrates United’s defeat as they ranked top and became Premier League Champions. Citizens have been above their rivals with their heads and shoulders up and have looked invincible ever since they reached the top.

Leicester’s Luke Thomas scored in the 10th minute to put the team ahead in the match 1-0. Five minutes later, Greenwood scored United and equalized the scoreboard to 1-1. Then in the 66th minute, Çağlar Söyüncü outscored Leicester 2–1 and the team held the lead to the end and won the match and knocked United out of the title race. Read match highlights here.
