The new Bundesliga season would start on September 11 or 18, German Football League (DFL) president Christian Seifert told for the daily Die Welt.
There is a possibility that the presence of spectators in the stands will still be allowed in the new season and the clubs participating in the Euro cups could start the season later, Seifert announced.
The German championship was concluded last weekend and the remaining nine-rounds were played behind the closed doors after a break caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
The season in Germany will end with the Cup final between Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday.
