Everton helping cops after a flare ignited Dixie Dean statue

Anonymous hooligans mocked the monument to legendary Everton player Dixie Dean that is located near Liverpool Stadium, after Everton’s defeat by Tottenham in the 33 round of English Premier League.

Vandals set fire to the statue using a flare. Police received the video that covered the moment so that the perpetrators could be found.

Everton wrote official clubs statement regarding this situation:

“Everton is assisting Merseyside Police with questions regarding a flare ignited outside of Goodison Park on the Dixie Dean statue.”

“We ask those with information about this upsetting and disrespectful event to notify Police at Merseyside.”

“Upon review-and cleanup of the monument and the ground-we can happily announce that there has been no permanent harm to the statue of our greatest goal scorer ever-or the floral tributes placed at the foot of the statue.”
