Manchester United will have to bear big-money move for Ansu Fati

Barcelona has price tagged Ansu Fati for during the transfer window this summer and Manchester United has reportedly been told they’ll have to come up with a €170 m (£153 m) deal to sign the attacker.

The Spanish champions have reportedly already turned down a bid worth €150m (£135m) and the Red Devils continue to be tied to the 17-year-old.

United has been told by an agent acting on Barca’s behalf that only if its full release condition, which stands at €170 m ( £ 153 m), is reached would Fati be permitted to leave, according to The Times.

Scoring six times and recording one assist in all competitions in 25 appearances, the former Spain Under-21 has enjoyed a season breakthrough at Camp Nou.

As Quique Setien’s side extended their lead to five points at the top, the prolific attacker scored his season’s fifth La Liga goal in Barca’s 2-0 victory over Leganes Tuesday night.

The current deal with Fati at Camp Nou is due to expire in the summer of 2022, although the Catalan giants have the option of extending the deal for another two years.
