James Maddison shared he wants to win titles but admits he’s still content in Leicester City, amid reports that he’s been away from the club this summer.
Earlier the 23-year-old has been linked to a move to Manchester United. The midfielder has become a sensation at King Power Stadium.
Maddison was part of a squad that exceeded all expectations, with the Foxes sitting in third place at the Premier League table, and the playmaker hopes there will be more success to come.
During an interview for Puma, he told former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry, “I’m really enjoying it at Leicester.”
“I have a trophy cabinet at home, but there are no trophies in it.”
“We got to the semi-final of the Carabao Cup and when we were knocked out in the last minute by Aston Villa, it was a feeling I’d never felt before. That was when I realized I wanted to win trophies. We’re in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, so fingers crossed.”
Last year in November Maddison earned his first England cap against Montenegro and for the Foxes, he scored nine goals and three assists in all competitions this season.
