Before the match, PSG introduced all the new players included in their team to the fans. It featured Leo and four other new players, Sergio Ramos, Gianluigi Donnaruma, Georginio Wijnaldum, and Achraf Hakimi. However, after that, the Argentine left the field and was seen enjoying the match from the stands. Apart from Messi, other star players Neymar and Angel Di Maria were on the bench due to lack of match fitness. Pablo Sarabia helped PSG win the match 4-2 scoring in the 86th minute against Strasbourg, who played with 10 players ahead.
