PSG recorded three positive COVID-19 cases in their training camp

Paris Saint-Germain has confirmed in their camp three positive cases of coronavirus just over a week before returning to Ligue 1 play.

Paris Saint-Germain reported that before returning to Ligue 1 action next week three players screened COVID-19 positively.

On September 10 finalists of the 2019-20 Champions League are expected to launch their domestic defense title at Lens, moving the fixture back at the request of PSG.

However, a trio of players contracted coronavirus ahead of that match, if a fourth positive test returns it is likely to be postponed.

A PSG statement on Wednesday read: “Three PSG players are confirmed positive after a Sars CoV2 test and have undergone the appropriate health protocols.”

“All players and staff will continue to be tested over the next few days.”
