Premier League 30th season to start today

Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool will start their campaigns in the 30th season of the English Premier League (EPL) on Saturday. Manchester United, who missed the title last time, will be eyeing to become champions this time. The club will face Leeds United, who finished ninth last season, in the first match.

Jadon Sancho, who is from Borussia Dortmund, will be seen playing in this football match for Manchester United, who has won the title 20 times, while Rafael Varane, coming from Real Madrid to Manchester United, will not play in the first match. Manchester United manager Olegnar Gunnar Solskjaer said, “Rafael hasn’t practiced with us yet.” Thus, the Manchester United team, adorned with stars like Mason Greenwood, Harry Maguire, Bruno Fernandes, and Diogo Dalot, would like to go ahead with important points in their opening match.

Chelsea vs Crystal Palace

Chelsea’s confidence will be in seventh heaven with the recent UEFA Super Cup title win. Simultaneously, Chelsea added Romelu Lukaku to their club from Inter Milan, Italy, with a record transfer fee of £97.5 million. Thus, a team adorned with players like Thiago Silva, N’Golo Kante, Hakim Ziyech would look to register a win against Crystal Palace in the first match. Under manager Thomas Tuchel, fourth-placed Chelsea last year is also one of the top contenders for the title. At the same time, Crystal Palace had finished 14th in the last season.

Liverpool vs Norwich City

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp seemed overjoyed after star defender Virgil van Dijk’s contract was extended until 2025. After extending Virgil’s contract, Klopp said that we can’t spend as much money like everyone else, because we don’t have extra money. Virgil had a deal with the Liverpool club in the year 2018 for 75 million pounds. Liverpool will face Norwich City in the first match of the Premier League. Norwich City will go into this match without their leading midfielder Przemyslaw Placheta. Liverpool beat Norwich City four times in the last five matches, one match being a draw.
