Manchester United held a draw with Chelsea

In another Premier League football match, Manchester United draw 1-1 with Chelsea. Jadon Sancho opened United’s account in the game with a goal in the 50th minute but Jorginho scored a penalty in the 69th minute to bring Chelsea back into the match and level the match score at 1-1. After this, both the teams could not score any goal and the match ended in a draw. United is eighth in the table with 18 points from 13 matches.

Chelsea completely dominated the first half, hitting the bar and forcing Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea to make several saves. But there was an idea to it – the ball from the wrong side turned into a cross towards Jadon Sancho, who was waiting for him in the box.

Chelsea leveled in the middle of the second half when Jorginho redeemed himself, coldly scoring a penalty. The draw means Chelsea is one point ahead of Manchester City at the top of the table, while Manchester United is in eighth place.

However, after the match, De Gea said “it is not enough to draw”. He told Sky Sports, “We have already improved against Villarreal, we have won, we have qualified and now we have played a very good team away from home. The team effort was great. For me, equality is not enough. We are in a difficult moment. I am proud of the team effort.”

“On the field, in the goal, we felt the danger for most of the game. We defended well, they missed great opportunities, and they gave us a chance to score. It’s not enough to equalize, but for the time being it is. We had scored three or four goals before the last game. We are getting better. It’s just two games. At least now we are defending well. We are fighting for every ball. We are a team.”
