Manchester City joins the race to sign Dusan Vlahovic. Negotiations between Dusan Vlahovic’s current club Fiorentina and Manchester City are said to be speeding up swiftly, leaving Tottenham Hotspur and Atletico Madrid in the dust. Sara Meini, a TGR RAI Toscana reporter who is always on the lookout for Viola stories, piqued their interest this afternoon.
She now claims that the talks are moving quickly and that the Serbian striker has already made direct contact with Manchester City to discuss personal terms. Fiorentina made a substantial contract extension offer, but his agents are demanding large commissions as well as guarantees on their role in selling the striker next summer.
Given their state of affairs Tottenham Hotspur and Atletico Madrid both offered over €70 million, meanwhile, with a bid close to €80 million Manchester City appears to have outbid both. Pep Guardiola’s team is desperately in a hut for a center-forward although their first choice had been Harry Kane. However, Man City sees the 21-year-old as a replacement for Harry Kane, if he agrees to stay at the London club. Citizens are now pursuing Serbia international Vlahovic, who would cost roughly half as much as the injury-prone Kane.
Vlahovic joined Fiorentina in 2018 and since then he has scored 27 goals appearing in 77 competitive matches. He is now set to change a club and according to Transfer mrkt, the probability of transfer to Tottenham is 74%. Spurs are lining up a move for Fiorentina striker as they look to find a partner for talisman Harry Kane.
