
The former player of WBA and Blackburn is a “bullsh*tter said Roy Keane and fired at the assistant manager of the Republic of Ireland Keith Andrews.
“If I could make one point about the new Irish staff. During the past 10 years, I’ve seen a number of bullsh*tters and Keith Andrews are among the best of them,” he told the Irish Independent.
“I was really so rough at times. I was too soft sometimes.’ he commented.
“If I was critical, I thought back to my own life and how I was interacting with others, sometimes in management — and others would not think that — but I suppose I was too good to people occasionally.”
“Men were punching me right in my chest, not on my back. I was too nice to them.”
“I was this who I was. Even in the pre-season, any game in which I have ever had it easy, I guarantee you that I was the park’s worst player. I couldn’t do it. I just couldn’t. It wasn’t something about my make-up … I must have been full of the pelt.” he said.
“If I lightened up too much in football, I would never have got to England. So if I had done so, I might not have stayed there for two minutes.”
