Juventus issued apology for racially discriminatory tweet

Juventus has issued an apology for a racially discriminatory social media post. On the official Twitter feed of their women’s team, Juve tweeted later described it as an unforgivable mistake.

The tweet was published on Thursday evening and received thousands of negative reactions and replies within 20 minutes. Juventus pulled down the offensive tweet shortly after it was posted and issued an apology. Bianconeri stated, “The club will make the most profound reflection and thorough review to prevent similar things from happening again.”

Cecilia Salvai, one of their Women’s team defenders, was photographed wearing a small red cone on her head in the shape of a hat. The issue is that she is also using her fingers to make her eyes appear more Chinese.
