The former director of Barcelona, Javier Bordas, shared his opinion about the work of the VAR system in the Spanish La Liga.
“In general, I trust referees. After a pause caused by the pandemic, the behavior of the VAR was difficult to understand. All the decisions of the system were against us, but it benefited the other teams,” said Bordas to Mundo Deportivo.
“The penalty awarded to Barca after contacting Ramos and Langle is crazy. If you think it’s a violation to touch the shirt so little, then Ramos pushed Langle first.”
“If you are watching this episode with VAR, then you have to evaluate the whole episode. Such matches can decide the outcome of the championship.”
With the Royal Spanish Football Federation, Barcelona filed a complaint about the referees’ work in that match against Real.
