Group F: Germany Team Preview Ahead Of Euro 2020

It is confirmed that German national football team coach Joachim Löw will step down after the Euro 2020. After serving the team for many years, Low will exit in it this summer anyhow, trying to end on a high note. Bayern Munich coach Hansi Flick will take over the team replacing Low. With the nearing of UEFA Euro 2020, we have noted a preview of Germany in Group F of the European Championship.

It has been hinted through recent events that Löw’s legacy may be stained. The team’s poor performance at the World Cup in Russia added to the pressure, and embarrassing defeats to Spain (6-0) and North Macedonia (2-1) haven’t helped matters.

With players like Joshua Kimmich, Toni Kroos, Leon Goretzka, and llkay Gündoan, Germany has a challenging squad, perhaps the greatest midfield in the world. Thomas Müller and Mats Hummels have also returned after being away for more than two years.

However, their defense has been a source of concern, as Manuel Neuer can only do so much, while the lack of a top-flight attack may come back to haunt them. They have their work cut out for them in a group that includes the reigning World Cup and Euros champions.

The ultimate goal for the German national team is not to win the tournament but putting a successful performance and laying a solid basis for Löw’s replacement will be critical.
