Gareth Bale is no more in Spurs squad confirmed Santo

Gareth Bale has found himself at the center of renewed transfer speculation as he enters the final year of his contract in Real Madrid. The Welsh international will remain with the Spanish capital for the 2021/22 La Liga season but the football transfer is not confirmed yet.

Bale has spent the 2020/21 season on loan with former club Tottenham Hotspur. He did not return to pre-season training yet due to his involvement with Wales at Euro 2020. It is reported that he will return to the squad before the end of the month, despite speculations that he might retire from football this summer.

Diario AS claims, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has confidence in the 32-year-old in the coming months in spite of persistent rumors of a free transfer departure. Ancelotti took over Los Blancos replacing manager Zinedine Zidane

Gareth Bale arrived at the Madrid Football club in 2013 from Tottenham Hotspur. The Welsh captain scored 39 goals in 92 games before leaving in 2015. He has previously stated his desire to return to the club following Zinedine Zidane’s departure in May. Last season the 32-year-old forward played 20 games in the Premier League scoring 11 goals.

Newly appointed Tottenham Hotspur’s head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has spoken about changes in the team ahead of the new season with opening remarks on the player’s future. “He will not be a part of our squad” – said Santo at his first press conference, BBC reports.

Under old Tottenham coach Jose Mourinho, who moved to AS Roma, Bale was in and out of the team and did show his best form last season. As a result, it had been speculated that Bale could return to Spurs for another season on loan as Real Madrid want to offload him. However, former wolves coach Nuno spilled the beans and revealed the forward is not part of his plans for the coming season.
