Gordon Taylor, PFA president says that football matches may be shorter than 45 minutes a half as Project Restart gets going.

Taylor told BBC Radio 4 Today “Proposals have been brought out about the prospect of more substitutes; games can’t be the complete 45 minutes either way and with suggestions about neutral locations. There’s a lot going about.”.

Top-flight football has been on hold in England since Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta was diagnosed with coronavirus on March 14, but there seems to be no pressure for the Premier League to meet suit as Leagues were postponed for this season in Netherlands and France.

With a May 25 UEFA deadline for restart plans approaching, the Premier League appears to be dedicated to finishing the 2019-20 season as they have been in a Continuous contact but policy restricts it to do so.

With preparations still underway to have the league restarted as part of Project Restart in June,  four already have 10 games to go and sixteen league teams have nine fewer games. But things are on halt.

The substructure of Project Restart plans was disclosed in the Daily Mirror.

Training is considered to be resumed in mid-May. The Premier League have to pay for a complete training regime.

Games will start in early June while full training will resume by the end of May. And obviously, there has to be on-going communication with the government for the on-day requirements.
