On Thursday at Everton to maintain its 12th-place table spot, Southampton fought for a 1-1 Premier League draw.
Before flicking the ball into the net to give Southampton a deserved 1-0 lead on 31 minutes, Danny Ings scored his 20th goal in the league when he corralled the intended pass from Stuart Armstrong.
But after Lucas Digne selected the forward with a ball splitting the defense and allowing the forward to shoot past Alex McCarthy, Richarlison canceled Southampton’s lead.
