One of the legendary footballers of the current era, Cristiano Ronaldo returns to Manchester United. Juventus player will soon be seen playing again in the jersey of Manchester United after the latest football transfer news is confirmed. Manchester United itself has confirmed this in an official statement. 

Football world’s star striker Cristiano Ronaldo has returned home after 12 years. From Italy’s Juventus club, Portugal’s Ronaldo has agreed on a two-year deal till 2023 with The Red Devils. Manchester City was also involved in the race along PSG to acquire Ronaldo’s signature but later withdrew their hands.

Including Ronaldo, the Manchester United club tweeted that you are welcome home. According to the report, Manchester United has bought their former star player by paying a transfer fee of 25 million euros for two years.

Manchester United has also confirmed this surprising football news on their official website. The club informed, “Manchester United is delighted to confirm that the club has reached an agreement with Juventus for the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo.” Manchester United further wrote, “Cristiano Ronaldo has played 292 matches for the club. Scored 118 goals. He has won the Ballon d’Or five times. In his career, he has won more than 30 trophies, including the UEFA Champions League title, four FIFA Club World Cup titles, and 7 titles in England, Spain, and Italy. He has also won the European Championship for Portugal.”

Even before Manchester United’s official announcement, its manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had said that if Ronaldo wanted to join us, we would welcome him, while Ronaldo also agreed to play with Manchester United and this was informed by his agent Georges Mendes. 

Ronaldo previously played for United from 2003 to 2009. During that time he scored 118 goals in a total of 292 matches for this club. He then joined the Spanish club Real Madrid with a deal worth a record 80 million pounds. After playing with this club for nine years, he signed a deal of 100 million euros with Juventus in the year 2018 and has played only three years for the Turin club.

The reason for Ronaldo leaving the Juventus club is believed to be his hefty contract amount. Juventus already told Ronaldo that after 10 months your contract will expire and we can’t continue to give you five million pounds per week (about five crore rupees) without tax due to financial problems. Ronaldo and his agent then began contacting other clubs with immediate effect, leading to his return home.
