Bonaventura: Milan was an unforgettable experience

Giacomo Bonaventura leaves Milan and thanked the club for an ‘unforgettable experience’, after six seasons with the Rossoneri.

The 30-year-old added 35 goals and 30 assists for the Diavolo in his 184 games since arriving from Atalanta in September 2014.

In 2019-20 season his deal expired and Bonaventura is now going elsewhere to find a starting position.

“Thank you, I lived a dream,” he wrote on Instagram. “The years spent in Milan were an unforgettable experience.”

“I want to thank all the people with whom I have shared this fantastic adventure. Presidents, managers, coaches, teammates, doctors, and physios.”

“Thanks to all those who work behind the scenes at Milanello, they are the real engine of Milan, thanks to them we feel at home every day, as a family.”

“Thanks to all the Milan fans, who have always supported us, in the best moments, and the hardest ones. The roar of San Siro is something special, which I will never forget.”

“You will always be in my heart!”

In Serie A 2019-20, Bonaventura played 29 times but only started 13 in the process and scored three goals.
