Bayern Munich unveiled third kit for 21/22 season

Bundesliga football club Bayern Munich has unveiled their third kit for the new 2021/22 season. The new white and blue jersey is inspired by Munich’s surroundings of panoramic mountains. The kit is in a white-blue colour scheme with a dark blue collar and sleeves. The famous “Mia san mia” saying is woven into the neck area, as reported by the club’s press office.

“The new Champions League jersey was inspired by the mountain panorama of the Munich area: In white and blue, a stylized mountain world is incorporated into the innovative design, which symbolizes the ties to home and roots of the German record champions as well as his claim to always aim for the highest peaks,” the club wrote in a statement.

The white-blue t-shirt highlights three red stripes on the shoulder while the logo on the left side and the number on the back stand out as printed in the red colour. Adidas remains the technical sponsor for the Bundesliga club. Bayern Munich will be seen wearing the new kit tonight in a German Super Cup football match against Borussia Dortmund.

Bayern forward Thomas Müller commented on the new kit: “As a real Bavarian, I of course particularly like this look. I love the mountains, I love my homeland, and I think it’s great that we can make this special attitude to life that we have here with us vividly illustrated all over the world with this jersey.”

The new jersey will be available at FC Bayern Online Store and offline stores from today and from 24 August in specialist shops. Fans can purchase the jersey for €89.95 cost, while the authentic version worn by the players is priced at €139.95.

Saki Kumagai, a Newcomer to FC Bayern, said, “I just switched to FC Bayern – and I’ve felt good from day one: Mountains have always been a motivating factor for me, and they remind me of my home town of Sapporo. FC Bayern is known for always having the highest goals – in men and women. That’s why we’re all here. “
