Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti was not satisfied with the work of referee Lee Mason in the 1-1 draw at home to Southampton, but he declined to blame the official for the one very contentious decision of the game.
VAR decided that the violation did not merit a red card and the official just gave a yellow card though Bednarek appeared to be the last defender.
“I don’t want to judge the episode single.” the Italian said at his press conference.
“The referee’s performance was just like my team, not so good. The performance was not on top in general.”
