Julian Alvarez should dump his girlfriend as per fans’ petition

Julian Alvarez should dump his girlfriend as per fans’ petition. An online petition with more than 20,000 irate supporters asks Julian Alvarez of Manchester City to break up with his girlfriend Maria Emilia Ferrero. Because of his brilliant performances at the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup, Julian Alvarez has become a household name in Argentina. The Manchester City forward finished the competition as La Albiceleste’s second-leading scorer with four goals in seven games.

With seven goals, only Lionel Messi has more goals as Argentina snapped a 36-year FIFA World Cup drought. Alvarez joined in on the post-World Cup festivities in Argentina, much like the majority of his countrymen. Alvarez led a parade in his hometown of Calachin while perched on the top of a fire truck and enthusiastically rejoicing with supporters. Over 10,000 people traveled to the little village 65 miles from Cordoba, according to the Daily Star.

Maria Emilia Ferrero, the girlfriend of Julian Alvarez, participated in the march as well, but a particular behavior she committed swiftly earned her the wrath of the crowd. Ferrero was seen on camera at one point blocking the Manchester City forward from taking a photo with some young supporters. She outraged one enraged fan so much that he started an internet petition to get Alvarez to dump his attractive fiancée. Since then, the petition has gathered more than 20,000 signatures.

The petition has not affected Alvarez and Ferrero’s four-year relationship, as was to be expected. Together, they celebrated New Year’s and posted a photo to Instagram. One of Manchester City’s top players, Bernardo Silva, has said he would leave the club before his contract expires in June 2025 to work on an intriguing new venture. However, the Portugal international has ruled out moving in January.

Silva was questioned about his thoughts on his future at City during an interview with the Portuguese publication Record. He claimed that, although not having any immediate plans to relocate, his future is still very much up in the air.

Silva stated: “I’m focused on this season, and because the season is still in progress, it makes no sense to talk about leaving. I will turn 29 in the summer when I turn 28 and have two more years left on my Manchester City deal. At age 31, my contract would expire. I’ll be honest: If something positive occurs elsewhere, my objective for the foreseeable future will probably be to switch to a new project.”

Silva has played in 275 appearances for City in all competitions since he arrived from Monaco in 2017, scoring 50 goals and providing 56 assists. Under Pep Guardiola, he has won four Premier League championships.
