Joe Hart: 18 months at Premier League bench won’t define or destroy me

Since Joe Hart’s deal at Burnley ended on June 30 he becomes a free agent for the first time in his 17-years of career, but the British goalie appears somewhat confident regarding his future chances to pass forward.

“The fact that I’ve had to stay in the Premier League at the bench for 18 months won’t define or destroy me,” Hart told the BBC.

“I remember who I am. I remember playing for my local team in the Sunday League and trying to get into the first team in Shrewsbury Town.”

“I noticed early-issues have to be put in context.”

“People may think it’s a time of fear from the outside but from the inside, it’s a time to look ahead to see all the possibilities.”

“I’m young when it comes to goalkeeping. I’m even younger when it comes to a guy’s mental age who just wants to go to goal with people whipping balls on him.”

“I’m not under any illusions that Real Madrid can knock to my windows, push Courtois out and let me in, but there’s plenty more to come from me.”

“I need just someone to believe in me and I’m going to repay that faith.”

75 time the 33-year-old has represented England.
