The Telegraph reports, this summer Bayern Munich has risen as favorites to get Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz.
In recent days the 21-year-old defensive midfielder has been strongly linked to Chelsea, along with Man City’s Leroy Sane. he is regarded by the German giants as a future member of a new-look frontline.
According to the source, they’re closer to Bayer’s valuation of their key player than Chelsea, but it’s unclear how Bayern will finance both deals.
As Bayern try to improve other position it is globally out of the fight for Germany, states many sources.
The 21-year-old is already one of the world’s most desired stars, so potential teams may have to spend at least £75 m to make this deal possible.
Blues have already negotiated the transfer from Ajax to Hakim Ziyech and all but likely to close the deal for RB Leipzig to Timo Werner in the nearest future. However, as Bayer is under no pressure to sell, they could be pressing for an even bigger transfer price that may be an issue for the Blues.
