Manchester United is looking to sign Barcelona’s right-back Marc Jurado after reaching a contractual agreement, reports Diario Sport.
The defender has an offer to move to England and rejecting the Catalan club’s extension offer. Last month the young player celebrated his 16th birthday, over the past nine years has played in the youth teams of the Blaugrana.
The player will move to Old Trafford instead in spite of Barcelona promising to continue progressing through the ranks alongside an improved salary.
The teenager had played this campaign for the Cadet A side of the club and was due to be promoted next season to the Juvenil B team.
Barcelona believes that last year’s contract extensions given to rising talent Ansu Fati and Ilaix Moriba turned the tide but they lost many promising players, over the years.
With a fee of €1.5 m (£1.3 m) relative to the player’s development, Jurado is set to arrive at United this summer.
