Manchester City Captain David Silva is allegedly all set to put pen on paper for a short-term contract expansion to Etihad for the rest of the season.
After his new contract expires on June 30th the veteran midfielder is set to leave Manchester for 10 years with the people, during which time he has scored 73 goals from 423 appearances.
The 2019-20 campaign will not restart before the 12th of June. If the Premier League season is allowed to play in the middle of the coronavirus epidemic.
The City is eager to keep Silva in the books until the end of the season, according to ESPN.
The report argues that Silva is able to live on the Etihad because he’s still holding out for the Champions League ‘s glory, with Pep Guardiola already 2-1 ahead of Real Madrid in the last 16.
This season Silva has scored three goals and seven assists from 19 Premier League appearances.
