David Alaba praises Lionel Messi and Luka Modric

David Alaba praises Lionel Messi and Luka Modric. Recent statements by David Alaba attributed Lionel Messi and Luka Modric’s performance after turning 35 to their prior experience playing at the highest level. Modric is currently 37 years old, whereas Messi is 35. Despite getting older, both superstars are still crucial to their teams’ ability to win championships.

Alaba argued that while athletes might benefit their teams when they are young because they are still developing, experience is crucial to how well players function in their late 30s. According to the defense (via Madrid Zone): “Football is a game where experience is crucial. Young people possess freshness. Later, you’re more composed and deliberate.”

Argentina recently won the 2022 FIFA World Cup under Lionel Messi’s leadership. The superstar of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) scored seven goals during the competition, including a brace in the championship game.

Additionally, Messi contributed three assists during the Qatari championship, and he was awarded the Golden Ball for his achievements. Equally important in Croatia’s third-place finish was Modric. He was a key member of the Real Madrid squad that captured the La Liga and UEFA Champions League championships in the previous campaign.

Argentina experienced a historic moment at the 2022 FIFA World Cup when Lionel Messi and company ended La Albiceleste’s 36-year losing streak on the biggest stage.

But Carlos Tevez, a former teammate of Messi’s, revealed something unexpected. The retiring striker admitted he didn’t watch the tournament in Qatar when speaking to Radio Mitre.

The former striker for Manchester City and Manchester United said: “I didn’t pay great attention to the World Cup in Qatar, but I saw France a lot since I admired the team. Messi’s phone must have been destroyed because I haven’t written to him. I’m overjoyed that my kids recognized his accomplishments.”

In his illustrious career, Tevez made 76 appearances for La Albiceleste. He helped his nation out with 13 goals and 13 assists.
