During the major coronavirus crisis, club Barcelona stands with its players. In spite of pressure, the club will not risk the health of its players and take steps to ensure that they will only play if they get permission from the health authorities.
According to SPORT La Liga didn’t like the attitude of Barca, but they do understand the concerns of the club. Barca doesn’t go in opposition to anyone, but it is just trying to make sure their players get the best.
Six other First Division clubs are tracking their decision, waiting to see what happens. The other clubs will do so, too, if they announce their stance.
One of the measures that the club is looking at isn’t forcing any player back to play. The club will allow players to play if there is 100 percent assurance that they will not get coronavirus.
Barca is aware that their stance could lead to a serious economic problem that could see them losing out on TV rights.
This week the Catalans are going to make some decisions by looking into this issue. The board is likely to make a call on it in the upcoming days.
