AS Monaco has announced on official site the signing of German international striker Kevin Volland who contracted with Red and White for four seasons, until June 2024.
In Marktoberdorf, Bavaria on July 30, 1992, Kevin Volland was born and took his first steps in the city club, FC Thalhofen. Later as a teenager, he Munich 1860 Academy and made his debut with the German U17 team. The striker (1.79 m) was only 18 years old when he made his professional debut.
He moved to Hoffenheim in 2012, after two busy years (20 goals and 16 assists in 60 games), where he made his name as a starter (36 goals and 39 assists in 144 games) before joining Bayer Leverkusen in 2016.
He captained the team thirty times in both domestic and European competitions, during his time at Leverkusen. In 247 Bundesliga matches Kevin Volland, a full and generous striker, scored 77 goals and 62 assists. He has 10 caps on Joachim Löw’s “Nationalmannschaft” (1 goal).
