Arsenal after midfielder Ibrahima Bamba with €32.5 million price-tag

Arsenal after midfielder Ibrahima Bamba with €32.5 million price tag. PSG has now joined Arsenal in the competition for 20-year-old midfielder Ibrahima Bamba of Vitoria Guimaraes. Bamba has made 18 appearances for the Portuguese team so far this season, with 17 of those coming as a starter in the starting XI (according to Daily Cannon). The player is worth €3.5 million on the open market. The Portuguese club, though, demands a tenfold premium from any prospective buyer. They have fixed the price for Bamba at €32.5 million.

Atalanta and Club Brugge are two other teams that are interested in the player. He was once thought to be unsellable in January, but Vitoria is now willing to sell him if any team is prepared to pay the asking fee. The possibility of a club signing Bamba in January will be intriguing because they stand to gain greatly from his talents.

Former Arsenal striker Kevin Campbell has pushed the club to recruit Marcus Thuram, a star of France’s World Cup squad. Kylian Mbappe’s second goal against Argentina was assisted by Thuram.

Campbell said the following on the Highbury squad podcast: “Thuram [could] be a terrific addition, in my opinion. Someone with the ability to play across the front and who can offer us some physical presence up there Eddie is someone who is bigger, stronger, and more physically inclined even though he has been working on his physique and appears to be getting a little stronger.”

He went on to say: “That will keep defenses alert, that much is certain. Given that he only has six months left on his contract, it will be a reasonable deal and there may be room for a nice deal to be struck.”

Thuram now competes for Bundesliga club Borussia Monchengladbach, where he has 13 goals and four assists after 17 appearances. His qualities, as described by Campbell, would be beneficial to the Gunners.
