The 25-year-old is at home asymptomatic and quarantined even his brother had passed a positive test earlier.
Before loaning him back to the previous SPAL club for the rest of 2019–20, Napoli signed Petagna in January.
Petagna, who has two caps for Italy, has scored 28 Serie A goals in the last two seasons.
