Nasser Al-Khelaifi, Paris Saint-Germain president, indicated his longtime support for the Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo was always linked to a move away from Turin until he hung up his boots, while having remained on his contract for just over two years.
Earlier, PSG was credited with an interest in the 35-year-old Al-Khelaifi, admired for his “extraordinary strength of character.”
Speaking to France Football, Al-Khelaifa said, “Year after year, he displays a remarkable determination, an exceptional strength of character.”
“He remains motivated by this desire to improve every day and he always pushes his limits. I admire this relentless will; he is a great example for all athletes of the future.”
Recently Juventus has forced a salary cap on new players, which could lead them to rethink their place on Ronaldo in the future.
